​Application forms for new firearms licenses and renewal firearms licenses are available at the Pelham Police Department and online at www.mass.gov/chsb. 

​

•      An appointment may be made with Sergeant Sean Connor to begin the application process.

​

•      Sergeant Connor typically works Monday through Thursday from 7am to 5pm.

​

•      Please allow at least 30 minutes for the application process.

 

First Time Applicants

 

     First time applicants are required to provide the following:

 

      -      Completed application

      -        Submit a copy of a certificate of completion form from an approved basic  firearms safety course.                    

-        Valid drivers license

-        A $100.00 non-refundable fee must be submitted along with application.  Checks made out to "The Town of Pelham".

-      Payment is only accepted a the Town Offices located at 351 Amherst Road.

 

​      (Persons 70 years old and older are FREE of charge.)

 

Fingerprints and photos will be taken at the time the application is submitted.

 

*NOTE* As stated on page two of the firearms application: “ANY PERSON WHO KNOWINGLY FILES AN APPLICATION CONTAINING FALSE INFORMATION SHALL BE PUNISHED BY A FINE OF NOT LESS THAN $500.00 NOR MORE THAN $1000.00 OR BY IMPRISONMENT FOR NOT LESS THAN 6 MONTHS NOR MORE THAN 2 YEARS IN A HOUSE OF CORRECTION, OR BY BOTH SUCH FINE AND IMPRISONMENT (M.G.L. c140§131).”
